Muscle Relief is a fabulous liniment to rub on any sore muscles or bruises.   • Organic Arnica, extra virgin olive oil. Safety: Arnica is considered safe. As with all topical oils if a rash appears discontinue use. Arnica oil may cause an allergic reaction in people who are sensitive to the Asteraceae or Compositae family. Members of this family include ragweed, chrysanthemums, marigolds, daisies and many others. If you have allergies to any of these plants/plant families, be sure to check with your health care provider before using arnica products. You can also perform a patch test to see if you have any allergic reaction to the oil. Arnica is best used on unbroken skin for short periods of time. Do not apply arnica oil to damaged or broken skin because too much arnica can be absorbed and arnica can be toxic if it gets inside the body. Also avoid contact with mucous membranes. Please do not use if you are pregnant or nursing. Hops is generally regarded as safe. But if you are pregnant or nursing please do not use. Also hops is not recommended for patients with depression as the sedative effects may exacerbate the symptoms. St. John’s Wort is generally considered safe when used topically. But it has been known to be photo sensitive. Please do not use if your skin will be in the sun for any length of time. Mullein has been reported to inhibit the effectiveness of antidiabetic drugs and it may intensify the effects of muscle relaxants and lithium. If you’re taking prescription diuretics, you should talk to your doctor before using the herb since it can also have a diuretic effect. Wintergreen essential is safe when used in small doses. High dosages may be painful when used topically. Wintergreen also may thin your blood. If using aspirin please use small amounts of this blend. Please do not use heat when using this product. Several of the ingredients may burn your skin if you add heat.
